May 2019 Newsletter

Themes for the month of May are: May Day, Families and City Sights & Events. Here are a few highlights of the activities your children can look forward to:

  • The importance of family
  • Learning about all kinds of families and including those around the world
  • Bring in a family photo to share with your class
  • Animal families
  • Learning about sights and events our city has to offer
  • Building a box city (please bring in a box)
  • Celebrating the Children’s Festival with games and face painting

Our Mother’s day tea party will be held on Friday, May the 10th at 3:00 pm. We invite all moms and grandmas to come and join us for our very special event.

For every Tuesday for the month of May, a storyteller from the public library will be coming to tell stories to our children. She will leave some books at our Centre for children to look at and read. The children will also be learning all kinds of fingerplay and songs. The storyteller will review the songs and fingerplays each visit, so children can memorize them.
